PRESS RELEASE
WHEELING, IL — The Cremation Association of North America (CANA) is proud to honor active and veteran military service members with discounted registration on its Crematory Operations Certification Programs.
As cremation rates continue to climb, capable crematory operators are more valuable than ever. Since cremation operations is an entry point for many to the funeral service profession, CANA’s discount is a valuable effort to support both the industry and the men and women who have served our country. CANA was inspired by the launch of the new initiative, Journey to Serve, to make death care more accessible to service members transitioning to new career paths.
Now, CANA is making that career transition a little easier by offering discounted registration for the Cremation Association of North America Crematory Operations Certification Program™ (CANA COCP™) for all military service members. But this is not limited to US military—members and veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces can receive the same discount. Plus, membership with CANA is not a requirement to take advantage of this special pricing.
The first to take advantage of the new initiative, one non-member in Tucson, Arizona, was grateful to the association for this steep discount, saying “Thank you so much, this really helps us.” Now, more businesses can benefit from the commitment of service members and the expertise of CANA’s Crematory Operations Program. The CANA COCP meets the certification requirement of 19 states and also fulfills CE obligations in many states and provinces.
This discount applies to both the original Crematory Operations Certification Program (COCP) as well as the new COCP+AH program that provides specialized instruction on flame cremation and alkaline hydrolysis. Participants can earn their certification in-person at an upcoming training or online and on-demand—either way, registrants experience a lively and fun mix of expert lecture, technology, animation, and interactive exercises!
Learn more about the CANA COCP and take advantage of the first online, on-demand cremation-first curriculum: goCANA.org/COCP.
With thanks and support to all active and veteran service members from everyone at CANA.
