LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. — Eric R. Trimble of Trimble Funeral Home & Crematory in Moline, Ill. will fill a vacant Board position and serve as the new Group 4 Board Representative. Trimble is President of a 148-year-old firm, and states Selected has been an important part of the firm’s culture “forever.”
Trimble says he most enjoys participating in the Group Roundtables and hosted one shortly after opening Trimble Pointe in 2014. He is a Selected Transfer Services agent, and participates in the Discussion Forum and the Educational Trust Job Fairs.
Besides serving as past President of the Illinois Funeral Directors Association, Trimble also served as Selected’s first Board Chair in 2020. He has also served on the American Board of Funeral Service Education, served two terms on the Illinois Funeral Directors and Embalmers Licensing and Disciplinary Board and has been a speaker at several professional conferences.
“I am both honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve on Selected’s Board because the association has been an important resource for our firm for many years,” said Trimble. “I look forward to serving our members and our profession in this new role. . . . At this point in my career, to pay it forward to the profession is important to me.”
